"There are not enough superlatives in the English Dictionary to express how wonderful our stay at Dinjalla was!!!  The gorgeous platter of cheese, fruit and wine on arrival was only overshadowed by the bowl of Freddo frogs and cheese-packs you made up for our kids...  I wish you could have seen the expressions of delight on their faces...!  From the moment we arrived, we relaxed.  Not one thing had been overlooked - everything in the house was spotless, the grounds were immaculate and the hens were a-laying from day one!  The kitchen was better-equipped than my own and now I have 'kitchen-envy'...  The Dads whiled away many happy hours in the pool-room, the kids had a ball in the lap-pool and the Mums enjoyed a nice cuppa in the hot-tub on the deck. What a special place to have had Christmas Day!  The Christmas Tree and all the decorations around the house made for a very Festive atmosphere indeed.  Santa did manage to squash his fat little body down the chimney....Nothing had been overlooked and all the information in the compendium was very helpful....Obviously we chose the most expensive time of year (Christmas) but I still think it was worth every penny!" "WOW!!! The house from the outside as you are driving towards it, sitting up on that hill is awe inspiring!! It is so big and what a position! As we got up closer I couldn't wait to jump out of the car and run up to see it up close and inspect each room! We spent a good 20 minutes exploring the house when we first arrived with lots of  gasps and oohs and ahhs as we discovered each new room. And the discovery does not stop - we continued to find more hidden treasures and beauty all throughout our stay. Katie was very helpful answering questions via email and on the phone, and all the information including directions that were sent through prior to our arrival were very helpful. I liked the privacy of being able to arrive on our own and retrieve the key ourselves, but still having the option and knowing that help was there if we needed it (which we didn't). "We loved the drive from Ellalong to the house, we definitely felt we were in the country as we had wished (I didn’t want to stay in a resort) – and as we turned into the driveway – we were so excited to see the house. It is a beautiful home, inside and out, so much love has been put into making it and the surrounding gardens…and we felt like ‘home sweet home’ the minute we walked in. Even though the weekend wasn’t sunny, we were able to enjoy the weekend so much. And we didn’t realize the wineries are so close, which we enjoyed over 2 days. "On approach up the driveway, the size of the house is immediately impressive, but it's real charm is evident the moment you step inside. If you're looking for unpretentious luxury accommodation, then Dinjalla is it. The house has a genuinely welcoming aura - complete with an already-lit fire, cheese platter and bottle of local wine to greet you upon arrival! Each of the rooms is beautifully fitted-out, and the deck overlooking the valley is just the spot to take a deep breath of fresh country air and soak in the spectacular view. Dinjalla on the Hill is the perfect Hunter Valley hide-away. Our only complaint? Having to leave!...Katie is a most fine representative of Dinjalla - and an asset to the team. At all times, she was most helpful in any questionsI had, and a good part of the reason I chose Dinjalla above all other self contained accommodation in the Hunter Valley...To me, the value for money at Dinjalla on the Hill can only be appreciated when you are able to spend a decent amount of time there, and enjoy the entire house and the surrounds over the course of a number of days." "Dinjalla, the actual house, is amazing in and of itself, but the surrounding landscape is fantastic as well.  We arrived in the dark, so the surrounding scenery was a surprise until morning. The house was fabulous, with every amentity possible! It was such a perfect setting for a get-away from the city. I have already recommended it to another friend at work who's looking to possibly book it for his family. Having some nibblies there on Friday night and breakfast food already there for Saturday morning was a huge help! Having everything there from plastic wrap in the kitchen to hair dryers in the bathrooms was so handy. The directions were spot-on as well.  We drove up in the dark and fog, so precise directions were essential. Although it initially seemed a little pricey, what you get for the $$ is worth it."
