Spacious, Modern Living
The farm house has a large living area with a sandstone fireplace built in the Convict Style by a local master stone mason. A large flat screen digital LCD TV, Foxtel and DVD player with surround sound audio system are all provided. Reverse cycle, ducted air conditioning ensures your comfort is always cared for and all rooms have ceiling fans.
Outdoor Entertaining
Enjoy a BBQ with friends at either of the two outdoor entertaining areas located on the front and rear deck. Both are situated to allow you to take full advantage of the sun or shade, dependant on time of day and year. Enjoy the panoramic views and take in the breathtaking beauty and majesty of the Congewai Valley.
Catch up on some rest
and relaxation on the day bed by the deck or kick back on the Balinesian day bed in the Pagoda by the lap pool. The pool is solar heated and is ideal for those early morning laps. At days end relax in the spa and soak away your cares under the blanket of stars provided by the endless night sky and watch the moon rising and its reflection in the swan dam.
Guests are able to get back to nature by enjoying the outdoor showers on both the front and rear deck.
'The Master'
The master is upstairs and features a king size bed with high quality linen, walk in robe and flat screen LCD TV. The slider window opens onto a viewing deck with elevated views over the property. The en-suite has underfloor heating, shower, bath with views, wc and a double vanity.
'The Guest Room'
Is located downstairs and features a queen size bed, built in robe and a flat screen LCD TV. The ensuite has a shower, wc and vanity and heating.
Bedroom 3 is
located up stairs and features queen size bed and flat screen LCD TV.
'The Combo'
is also located upstairs featuring a double bed and a single bed as well as a flat screen LCD TV.
'The Sun Room' is a great place to relax with a good book or have an afternoon snooze. This offers flexibility to those larger groups providing an additional 2 sleeping spaces if necessary. A single roll away bed can be placed into any room of the house as a comfy rest stop for guest 12.
Separate bathroom
A centrally located bathroom offers a vanity, shower, bath and wc and heating for those rooms not containing an en suite. All bathrooms are equipped with towels, hair dryers and a full range of Australian made toiletries that are environmentally friendly. Cotton bathrobes are provided for the use of guests during their stay as well as towels for the spa and pool.
Kitchen
Equipped to the highest standards and includes gas, fan forced oven, gas cook top with range, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/ freezer with filtered water and ice maker, constant hot water tap, larder and a breakfast bar and island bench.
Stocked with all kitchenware including a slow cook pot, fondue set and a range of premium cookwear, glasswear and crockery. Basic pantry needs are provided along with children’s cutlery and tableware.
Games Room
Enjoy a game of Pool, table tennis or darts in the games room.
*Please note that our games room is now located in the garage and has been expanded to include table tennis and darts. This not in the house as some photographs on our web site may indicate. This has been necessary for safety reasons.
The retreat
This upstairs room is the ideal escape for those few precious minutes of peace and reflection. With some of the best views over the property and Valley through the panoramic window, this room is equipped for those few special moments with a good book and good company. Here you will find a TV, DVD and a great escape. A laptop computer is provided for email and internet access. (Dial up access only. Broadband is not available at our location.) A phone is also available for all incoming and essential out-going calls.
The deck which overlooks the gully behind the homestead, is ideal for an early morning coffee or to watch the sunset with a fine glass of Hunter Valley wine.

Located just a couple of hundred metres away from accessable legs of The Great North Walk, which goes from Sydney to Newcastle via the Hunter Valley, there are ample opportunities for bush walking. Alternatively, enjoy the tracks, long since abandoned by timber cutters. Dinjalla on the Hill offers 200 acres of green rolling hills and temperate forest, hidden caves thought to be once inhabited by local Darkingung aborigines.
Keep an eye out for the wedge tailed eagles whilst staying with us. ‘Dinjalla’ is the Darkingung people’s name for the biggest bird of prey in the country. You should also expect to see possums, wombats and goannas and the Hunter Valley Bird Society has located sixty different types of birds on the property including black swans, pelicans, kookaburras, fairy wrens, bellbirds and cockatoos, both black and sulphur crested.
